New viscosity-compensated flow switch
one of 28 new Honsberg products from PVL

Among 28 new Honsberg products recently added to the range of Honsberg switches, sensors and indicators available from Pressure Vacuum Level (http://www.pvl.co.uk/) is the Honsberg HD2K flow switch for oil or water-based applications in a wide variety of temperatures and viscosity conditions. This new switch has dramatically improved viscosity compensation of 30 - 300mm²/s and both wider settings (e.g. 1.5 to 15 l/min) and a wider indication range. New optional displays and switch heads are also available from PVL for installation with the HD2K.

The new switch is ruggedly constructed in brass or stainless steel and uses a spring-supported piston and magnetic triggering of a reed switch to achieve a high standard of repeatability. Mechanical and electrical components of the switch are hermetically separated and the HD2K is ATEX approved.

PVL now has Britain's largest range of Honsberg flow switches and sensors, and provides extensive advice and help with specification. PVL has been a UK distributor for the full Honsberg range for many years and works closely with the Honsberg design team to meet customers' needs, so has the resources OEM manufacturers need to get specifications and purchasing decisions right.

New Honsberg high-pressure flow switch now available from PVL

Announced by Pressure Vacuum Level (www.pvl.co.uk) is a new piston flow switch for high pressure applications such as jet wash machine and high pressure cleaners. Known as the FW1, the new high-pressure flow switch is among 28 new Honsberg products recently added to the range of Honsberg switches, sensors and indicators available from PVL.

This new switch has its pressure switch point factory set to ensure precision operation and has a metal piston capable of stopping very high pressures. Available in brass or stainless steel and with either male or female threads, the FW1 is rated to IP67 and has plugged electrical connections.

ATEX-approved Beck pressure switches now at PVL Ltd.

New ATEX approvals have just been announced for two of the top-quality Beck pressure switches marketed in Britain by Pressure Vacuum Level Ltd. The Beck range can be seen at www.pvl.co.uk/pressure_switches.htm#beck. Both the Beck 901 pressure switch and the Beck 930.8x differential pressure switch now have ATEX approval.

The Beck 901 pressure switch, marked II 2G Ex ia IIB T4, is approved for use in explosion-risk Zones 0, 1 and 2 with gas atmospheres. The version marked II 2G Ex ia IIC T4 is approved for other Zones 1 and 2. The Type 901 pressure switch is easy to adjust with a graduated knob and has adjustment ranges from 5 to 3,000 mBar. It comes with a choice of nitrile, silicone, Viton® or EPDM diaphragms and either ¼” BSP or push-on connections. A vacuum switch version is also available.

The Beck 930.8x differential-pressure switch, marked II qG Ex ia IIB T4, is now approved approved for Zones 1 and 2. Up to 100mBar over-pressure proof, the 930.8x also has a graduated adjustment, with pressure ranges of 5 to 50 mBar, and a range of diaphragm options.
